Spring Lake Summer Nights Block Party
Looking for a reason to get out of the house on a Wednesday? Spring Lake has you covered.
From July 22 through August 12, Third Avenue transforms into a lively pedestrian-only block party every Wednesday from 5 to 9 PM. Stroll through downtown while enjoying live music, outdoor dining, shopping, and family-friendly activities all evening long.
Kids can enjoy mini golf, face painting, and games, while adults can grab dinner, browse local shops, and soak up the summer atmosphere. Whether you're meeting friends for dinner or bringing the whole family, it's an easy way to spend a summer evening at the Jersey Shore.
Pasta Making Class @ Bakes Brewing Co
If your ideal night involves carbs and craft beer, this one's calling your name.
Head to Bakes Brewing Co. in Belmar on Wednesday, July 22 from 6 to 8 PM for a hands-on pasta-making experience where you'll learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch while enjoying a pint or two along the way.
This isn't your typical cooking class. It's more about rolling dough, sharing laughs, and picking up a new skill you'll definitely bring up the next time someone suggests ordering takeout. Snacks and lasagna are included, so don't worry about leaving hungry.
Whether you're coming with friends or looking for a fun date night, this class is the perfect excuse to trade your usual happy hour for homemade pasta and good beer. Your future dinner guests will thank you.
Spend Your Saturday at FilmOneFest
Skip the movie theater and head to the waterfront instead. FilmOneFest returns to the Atlantic Highlands Marina on Saturday, July 18, bringing an evening of award-winning short films from around the world to one of the Shore's most scenic settings.
The outdoor festival features everything from comedy and drama to documentaries, animation, horror, and sci-fi—all packed into bite-sized films that keep the night moving. Along with the screenings, attendees can enjoy live music, local art, and a relaxed marina atmosphere overlooking the New York City skyline.
Whether you're a film buff or just looking for a unique summer night out, FilmOneFest is one of those events that's unlike anything else you'll find at the Jersey Shore. Plus, the festival supports the Atlantic Highlands Food Pantry, making it a night of entertainment that also gives back to the community.
Asbury Park's Weekly Street Play Returns
Need an easy Friday evening activity for the kids? Play on Pine is back every Friday from 5 to 7 PM through August 28, turning Pine Street in Asbury Park into a giant outdoor play space.
The block between Second and Third Avenues closes to traffic so kids can fill the street with chalk art, ride scooters, kick around soccer balls, jump rope, and enjoy plenty of other classic summertime activities. The fun also extends onto the nearby school playground, giving families even more room to play.
It's completely free, low-key, and a great way to spend a summer evening outdoors before grabbing dinner or heading to the beach. Sometimes the best summer memories really are the simplest ones.
