Happy Tuesday, Monmouth County! This weather has me fully pretending I’m an outdoorsy person again. One sunny weekend and suddenly I’m making plans, sitting outside for hours, and refusing to go home before sunset.

On the docket:

  • The Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival Returns to Monmouth Park

  • Field Day at Coffee Corral

  • The 8th Annual Port Monmouth Fire Company Car Show

  • Free Ice Cream Night Comes to Tinton Falls

  • Live Music Lowdown

The Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival Returns to Monmouth Park

The Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival rolls into Monmouth Park Memorial Day Weekend from May 23 through May 25, with food, live music, and enough fried snacks to completely abandon any plans of “eating light.” Festival hours run daily, with special events happening May 23 from 12 PM to 2 PM alongside live music and family activities.

More than 30 food trucks will be serving everything from lobster rolls and mac & cheese to fried Oreos and other boardwalk-level temptations. Live music keeps things going all weekend long, including Ready Cassette Go! performing on Saturday from 12 PM to 4 PM.

Families can also expect bounce houses, pony rides, face painting, and other kid-friendly chaos throughout the picnic area. There is something for everyone, so grab your tickets in the link below!

Field Day at Coffee Corral

Parents, this is your sign to tire the kids out before lunchtime.

Come hang out at Field Day in the Corral on Saturday, May 23rd from 10 AM to 1 PM, bringing a full morning of lawn games, crafts, face painting, and soft play fun to Coffee Corral.

The setup is basically a dream scenario for families. Kids can run wild outside while parents hang nearby pretending they are not equally excited about the coffee situation. Expect classic field day energy with plenty of room to play, plus easygoing activities that make the whole morning feel low stress in the best way possible.

Whether your weekend plans involve entertaining toddlers, catching up with friends, or just getting everyone out of the house for a few hours, this one checks all the boxes.

The 8th Annual Port Monmouth Fire Company Car Show

If your ideal Saturday includes classic cars, coffee in hand, and spending way too long saying “they just don’t make them like this anymore,” this one’s for you.

The 8th Annual Port Monmouth Fire Company Car Show cruises into Port Monmouth on Saturday, May 23rd from 10 AM to 3 PM. The event brings together vintage rides, music, food, prizes, trophies, and an indoor gift auction, all while raising money to help beat pancreatic cancer.

Car owners can register their vehicles for $20, and spectators can spend the day checking out everything from polished classics to fully restored head-turners that probably get more compliments than most people do.

There will also be complimentary bagels and coffee in the morning because nothing says “car show” quite like caffeine and a parking lot full of chrome.

Ice Cream with a Cop in Tinton Falls

Free ice cream and community hangs? That is a combo we can get behind.

Tinton Falls Police Department is bringing back Ice Cream with a Cop on Monday, May 18 from 4:30 to 7:30 PM for an easygoing night of sweet treats, Little League games, and meeting the people behind the badge. The first 300 visitors who stop by the police table near the snack shack will score a FREE ice cream bar while supplies last.

There will be baseball happening throughout the evening, plenty of families out enjoying the spring weather, and a chance to connect with local officers outside of the usual traffic stop setting. Honestly, it is hard to beat free ice cream on a warm May night.

Come hungry, bring the kids, and maybe stay for an extra inning or two.
