All Aboard the Christmas Train Village in Spring Lake!
If you’re looking for a charming holiday outing with the kids this season, Spring Lake’s Christmas Train Village is a must-see. Housed inside the historic Duggan Building, this festive exhibit features a detailed miniature re-creation of Spring Lake brought to life through a winding train display that kids absolutely love. Best of all, it’s completely free to visit.
Little engineers can watch the trains chug through tiny storefronts, snow-dusted homes, and familiar local landmarks. It’s the perfect spot for families, especially if you’ve got a train-obsessed kid or an adult who never grew out of it.
This Christmas Train Village is open Wednesday through Sunday until December 31st, from 12 to 5 PM. It’s a cozy and nostalgic stop to add to your holiday plans. It’s local, family-friendly, and guaranteed to get everyone in the seasonal spirit!
Santa Ferry Ride around the Statue of Liberty
Looking for a fun holiday outing with the kids? Middletown’s annual Santa Ferry Ride offers a festive round-trip cruise out to see the world-famous Statue of Liberty. Families can enjoy outdoor viewing from the top deck, rotating holiday characters, onboard entertainment, and of course a visit from Santa himself. Every child and infant also receives a special present.
This year’s Santa Ferry Ride takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, with three departures available: 9:00–10:30 AM, 11:30 AM–1:00 PM, and 1:30–3:00 PM. Pre-registration is required.

39th Anniversary of the Nutcracker at Count Basie Center for the Arts
A holiday classic returns to Red Bank as The Nutcracker takes the stage once again at the Count Basie Center for the Arts. Celebrating its 39th anniversary, this beloved production brings all the magic of the season to life with beautiful choreography, Tchaikovsky’s timeless score, and a truly festive atmosphere.
