Miracle on 34th Street: Holiday Magic Comes to Red Bank
The holiday spirit is hitting Red Bank early this year. Miracle on 34th Street is coming to the Count Basie Center for the Arts from November 21 to 23 and it’s the perfect way to kick off the season with the whole family.
This heartwarming stage adaptation of the beloved Christmas classic follows Kris Kringle as he spreads cheer and proves that a little faith can go a long way. Between the charming cast, festive sets, and timeless story, it’s a show that’ll have both kids and adults believing in magic again.
If you’re looking for a holiday outing that beats another night of streaming, this is it! A joyful, nostalgic performance that’s sure to become a family tradition. Tickets are already selling fast, so grab yours soon and make sure your little ones get a front-row seat to the miracle!
Trot Now, Gobble Later: Run Your Giblets Off Turkey Trot
If you’re the type of family that likes to earn your turkey (or at least pretend to), the 10th Annual Run Your Giblets Off Turkey Trot at Bell Works in Holmdel is your Thanksgiving morning calling. On Thursday, November 27, join the crowd of overachievers, stroller-pushers, and coffee-fueled joggers for a festive 5K that benefits the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties.
Runners start bright and early because nothing says “holiday spirit” like sweating in 40-degree weather before 10 AM. There’s even a Kids Fun Run at 11, perfect for tiring them out before they start asking when the pie’s ready. Every participant gets a long sleeve shirt, a shiny 10th anniversary medal, and bragging rights at dinner when Uncle Joe claims he was the athletic one.
Use code TURKEY for $5 off and sign up fast because spots fill quicker than your plate at the dessert table. Rain or shine, trot on and celebrate the true meaning of Thanksgiving: running just far enough to justify the second serving of stuffing.
Free Fall Fun: Cider Making at Historic Longstreet Farm
The Historic Longstreet Farm is embracing the season with one of autumn’s best traditions: cider making. On Sunday, November 16 from 12 to 2 PM, the farm will be turning this year’s apple harvest into fresh, golden cider and you can help make it happen. This hands-on demonstration lets you see (and maybe even taste) how cider was made the old-fashioned way, using traditional presses right on the farm.
Even better? It’s completely free to attend. So bring your friends, your family, or just your love for fall, and spend a cozy afternoon surrounded by crisp air, colorful leaves, and the sweet scent of apples. Because nothing says “November” like cider you helped press yourself.
