Hi Everyone -  here's what we got this week in Monmouth County!

  • Jersey Shore Restaurant Week: Your Excuse to Ditch Cooking

  • 16.5M Later…Monmouth’s Water Is About to Glow Up

  • Hop Into the Fun: Jersey City’s Easter Bash is April 5th!

Jersey Shore Restaurant Week: Your Excuse to Ditch Cooking

Heads up — Jersey Shore Restaurant Week is happening from March 28 to April 6, and it's basically an excuse to eat out guilt-free. Over 60 restaurants across Monmouth County are offering 3-course meals for either $32.25 or $42.25 — think appetizer, entrée, and dessert at places like B2 Bistro in Red Bank, Avenue in Long Branch, and Amelia’s in Spring Lake. It’s a great chance to try somewhere new or hit your usual spot with a little upgrade.

So if you’ve been cooking all week and eyeing that takeout menu for the third night in a row... this is your sign. Honestly, the only hard part is choosing where to go (but hey, that’s why we plan more than one night out, right?). Grab a friend, your partner, or just treat yourself — you earned it.

16.5M Later…Monmouth’s Water Is About to Glow Up

New Jersey American Water is investing $16.5 million into Monmouth County’s infrastructure, focusing on replacing old water mains and improving service reliability. Translation: fewer unexpected water shut-offs and way better pressure when you’re trying to rinse shampoo out in under 30 seconds.

The upgrades are happening in multiple towns, including Middletown, Neptune, and Freehold, so don’t be surprised if you see more trucks and “road work ahead” signs popping up. Think of it as the county’s version of a glow-up — just with pipes instead of eyebrows. It might be a little inconvenient now, but it’ll pay off big-time down the line.

Hop Into the Fun: Jersey City’s Easter Bash is April 5th!

If you’re looking for something sweet and easy to do with the kids next weekend, Easter Fun Day in Jersey City is happening Saturday, April 5th from 10 AM to 12 PM at Smile Preschool & Nursery (276 First Street). It’s totally free and packed with activities like face painting, games, treats, and — of course — a visit from the Easter Bunny. It’s the perfect way to kick off a spring Saturday without spending your entire morning wrangling everyone into the car.

Pro tip: bring your phone charged and ready because you know you’re walking away with at least three frame-worthy photos and one meltdown mid-face paint (don’t worry, they recover fast). It’s hosted by Smile Preschool & HDSID, and they’re asking folks to RSVP — so grab a coffee, sign up, and you’re golden.
